Information we collect
When you use the enquiry form we collect the details you choose to give us, which are your name, phone number, email address, the type of project and any message you write. Our web server also keeps standard technical logs such as your device type and the pages requested, which help keep the site running and secure.
If you choose Advertising measurement, Google Ads may process advertising click identifiers contained in the page address, the page and referring page, browser and device information sent with web requests, and whether a quote form was submitted, a WhatsApp link selected or a qualifying website call made. Form field values and message text are not configured to be sent to Google. If a Google forwarding number is displayed, Google may process call time, duration and routing information needed for call reporting.
How we use your information
We use your enquiry details to respond, discuss your project, prepare a quote and carry out any work you decide to proceed with. We do not sell your details or use the contents of your enquiry for unsolicited marketing. If you consent to optional advertising measurement, we use limited website interaction data to understand which Google adverts lead to enquiries and calls and to manage our advertising spend. We do not currently use this website data for advertising personalisation or remarketing.
Our reasons for using information
We rely on your consent for optional Google Ads measurement and the associated storage or access on your device. You can withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie settings. We process enquiry details to take steps at your request and for our legitimate interests in handling project enquiries and keeping appropriate business records. If work proceeds, we may also need the information to perform our agreement and meet legal obligations.
Who receives information
Enquiries sent through the form are delivered to Broughton Building Company at info@broughtonbuildingcompany.co.uk. Because the website and its contact form are managed by Web Spinner UK, a copy of each enquiry is also received by Web Spinner UK acting as our website and email provider, solely so the form works reliably and messages are not lost. Web Spinner UK does not use your details for its own marketing.
If you accept Advertising measurement, Google may receive the limited measurement information described above. Google may process information in countries outside the UK. See Google's privacy policy and Google's advertising cookie information for details about its processing and transfer arrangements.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your project and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. When the information is no longer needed it is deleted.
Your Cookie settings choice is stored for up to six months. Google retains advertising measurement information under its own settings and policies, which are available through the Google links above.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make any of these requests, contact us on 07864 272222 or at info@broughtonbuildingcompany.co.uk and we will deal with it promptly.
You can withdraw advertising measurement consent at any time through Cookie settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place while consent was valid. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you believe your information has been handled incorrectly.
Cookies and advertising measurement
We use an essential first party preference cookie named
bbc_cookie_preferences for up to six months so the
website remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional
advertising measurement. This cookie does not measure your
browsing or advertising.
If you accept Advertising measurement, Google Ads tags may
store first party identifiers with names beginning
_gcl_, such as _gcl_aw or
_gcl_gs, and the Conversion Linker may use browser
local storage named _gcl_ls. These identifiers help
associate a Google advertising click with a later quote
request, WhatsApp click or qualifying website call. Google Tag
Manager is used to load the approved measurement tags.
Optional measurement is off by default. If you reject it, Google tags do not load and no measurement data is sent to Google. Advertising personalisation and website analytics remain off in either case. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings control in the footer.
